My take on Madrasapattinam
One of the best movies in recent times. Perfect love story set in pre-Independence era.
The art director has shown beautiful Chennai of 1940s with Koovam river, Trams, Jeeps etc.
The screenplay was perfect n editing was gr8.
The best part was the Heroine.. Amy Jackson..She was so stunning n gave a power packed performance in spite of being a foreigner. She was like real princess and her lyp synching were so perfect.
Another best part was re-recording n the music . Must say G.V has gone one step ahead in this album n has given a new dimension to his music. All of the songs were gr8..esp I liked "Pookal Pookum Tharunam" by Roop kumar Rathod n Harini. Both have given their soul to this song.
One of the best songs in recent years, fully poetic.
There were many heart touching scenes in this movie esp the romantic scenes, the scene where the main lead gets separated after being chased by police on the day of independence... I moved so much that tears started rolling down my eyes.. Couldn't able to come out of it for 3 days.
After a long time, a good film has come...
